Mrs. Scarberry's ELA Class!

A.S.Hello!  I am Amee Scarberry, and I am the ELA teacher for seventh grade.  This is my 16th year of teaching, and I am super excited to begin the school year!  After growing up and graduating from Henderson, TX, I obtained my teaching degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.  I married my husband, Jimmie, in 2002, and we moved to Woodville in 2005.  In 2011, we had our first child, Mollie, who shocked us all when she weighed in at a tiny 1 lb. 14 oz. (she’s now a super healthy, yet busy 4 year old).

I will always strive to keep a classroom that is full of fun and adventure.  I know that I get bored easily, so I need an environment that keeps my students, and me, entertained.  I absolutely love each and every student I teach.  I will do whatever is necessary to make sure they are successful.  We learn skills in my class, and then we master those skills through activities, activities, activities!  We also believe in grace, grace, grace in my classroom, so that it becomes a risk free environment.  I believe WMS is the greatest possible school that any child can attend!  Go Eagles!

I love spending time with my family.  Together, we love travelling to Branson, Missouri, going to the beach, fishing, hunting, and FOOTBALL!  The Miami Dolphins are the greatest team in football!  I also love to read, and learn new skills.

**Homework is sent home each week on Monday, and due on Thursday.  Students will have homework every week except the 6th week of a six weeks period.
