Emily Bell, Life Skills Teacher

I am Emily Bell, and I am the Life Skills special education teacher at
Woodville Middle School. I am excited to have your child in my class,
and I look forward to getting to know you and your child! I want us to
be partners in helping your child have a successful school year.

I am a graduate of Woodville High School and Stephen F. Austin State
University with a Bachelor of Arts in History with Honors. I completed
the Region 5 Teacher Certification Program, and was selected as the
program's Teacher of the Year in 2009.

My husband Brian and I have been married for 16 years, and our son,
Wyatt, is a freshman in high school. I have three dogs - Lucy, Julie, and Jack - and two donkeys,
Thunder and Lightning. I love college baseball, and look forward to the
NCAA College World Series every year. In my free time,
I like to watch Wyatt play baseball, read, bake, and garden.

I began my career teaching PPCD (Preschool Program for
Children with Disabilities) at Wheat Elementary. After two years, I
left Wheat to become the Director of Wee Wisdom Preschool in
Woodville. In 2013 I joined the faculty of Woodville Middle School. My
paraprofessionals in the classroom are Mrs. Leigh Ann Coleman and Mrs. Jinger Fowler.

Each class period is organized into 15 minute blocks. The
students follow a visual schedule which directs them to the learning
centers in our classroom - literacy, math, fine motor, technology, and
1:1 time with me. We typically spend our afternoons working on our
home care, meal preparation, and pre vocational skills.

If you would like to receive text message alerts from my class please
