Marsha Watts

Hello! My name is Marsha Watts.  I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1992 with a Bachelor Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Education with a specialization in Reading. I have been teaching for 22 years and am currently the 6th grade Reading/ELA teacher. I enjoy working with students and helping them reach their potential. I believe ALL students can and will learn when they are engaged, challenged, and valued as a person.

My husband, Michael, and I have been married for 23 years. We are blessed with two children, Jacob, my son, a sophomore at Angelina college, and Josie, my daughter, a junior at WHS. We are members of First Baptist Church, Woodville, where working with the youth is a high priority in our lives. Our family enjoys hunting, fishing and spending family time together.

My goal this year is to teach your children in a way that fits all learners’ needs. Throughout the year I will be incorporating different teaching strategies, that includes collaboration, communication, creative thinking, and critical thinking. I will encourage your children to embrace the differences of others and to learn from one another. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to reach and teach your children.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
